So, we all know that Elms is the place to go for Cesil servicing.

It's a 222 round trip for me though:(

Ultimately, I feel that Elms is the best place, but are there any good alternatives for me in the Midlands?

Stafford is my closest town, so any suggestions?

My next service is not due till next year, but I would like an oil service this summer and would also like the car looking over to take full advantage of my comprehensive warranty.

Penkridge - about 4 mile south of Stafford - drop us a PM when you're next up.

It is worth the mileage. There's no bull shit, they do what they can, plus more to make sure CSL's drive out in A1 condition. If they don't first succeed it may take more than one trip, but they won't shy away if its not sorted 1st time. Any warranty work is dealt with.

There's Autotech Performance and BMW indi specialist in Telford so not a million miles away. How good they are remains to be seen, but for an oil change probably good enough, particularly as the supposedly good ones are turning up lame, you can but try.

Absolutely brilliant. They build cars for Britcar, VLN, ALMS...

Guessing knights north staffs closest to you can't personally recommend them but should be ok for an oil service. I use Sytner Sutton as it's closer to me they've managed to sort my warranty work out no probs.

BMW Knights north staffs (stoke on Trent) quoted me £169 for an oil service. This was only last month whilst the subframe repair was done there. Mines not due till December but thought I'd enquire. Hope this helps

As Yanto said, I had this dilemma.

But after rybrook and sytner did their best to make sure I'd never go back, I had a client meeting in Cambridge that gave me an opportunity to visit Elms.

After an hour, Gareth had diagnosed things that Sytner had failed to in a week that they had the car ;and had charged me diagnostic time)

I took CSL back a couple if weeks later, had a 320d courtesy car from Elms, and absolutely would not hesitate to go back to Elms.

The cost of a 220 mike round trip is outweighed by the service from Elms.
