Evening all. Good to see the csl getting a bit of media lately to strengthen residuals . Another limited m3 I have in my possession is the e36 m3 gt individual I bought it back in 2005 hopeing to restore it as it was a bit on the rough side at that stage so it got full respray and all the window trims etc. that's as far as I got its been on a sorn ever since and in a sorry state cosmetically .is there any interest in these cars is it worth spending a few quid on it to put right?

Is this the british racing green one? or the imola?

Any Limited Edition M3, has got to be worth restoring, even if it is an E36, time is on your side.
The E36's that seem to fetch money are the Wide Bodied 'Schnitzer' conversions, like NJ's which is currently advertised for sale on PH. £21,995

Is it LHD or RHD? Lovely car either way, but worth more if the former

They're a bit of a marmite BMW but I really like them. Was parked beside that one last summer

Seen a gt individual on PH also for £11500 so might just be worth putting a few quid into mine. One problem I have is mine has a black leather interior not the Mexico green one don't know if it was bought like that or swapped at some stage. I got the spec of BMW but it didn't state what interior it was delivered with .

Had a LHD M3GT enjoyed every mile. Imported it myself. May still have some paper work from BMW Germany listing the differences between it & the regular M3 as the UK dealers & headquarters told me the car did not exist.

The LHD Gt was different to the RHD as it had different cams and head work / carbon interior finishing, the UK RHD had a standard engine and wood finishing kit. If you want it to have a higher value then it must have a green interior shame that's missing. If you want to sell it then I know someone that may be interested (he's already for 3 of them, 1 rhd and 2 lhd) Ive got an Imola individual too that ive had for about 4 years now, an amazing car and a joy to drive with Bilsteins and Eibach springs but as I got the CSL 12 months ago the E36 hasn't had a look in,

MarkCSL had one of those Schnitzer E36s a while again, maybe 10 years iirc cause I was thinking of buying it but st the time was around £15.5k, too much for me at the time.

nice gt but its missing its adjustable aero splitter (unless its in the boot with the rear spoiler riser blocks

i'm pretty sure you boys know what the splitter looks like but i'm just practicing my image insertion technique :gayfight:

I too am a big fan of the ACS CLS and saw one at gaydon on the schnitzer display. I think it was avus blue and had once belonged to chris rossiter.

loved it :smt055

I've seen a few Mexico green interiors appear a few times on eBay so maybe one day one will come along. But in saying that I could easily live with the black leather .ive owned the car 8 years now so it stands me nothing so gonna get stuck in and refurb it might end up moving it on then. The imola individuals I'd say are a more forgiving car there's a lot to be said for traction control many a scary moment in the older car :hahaha:

The Imola doesn't have Traction either, BMW never developed traction in any variant of M power engine in the E36 !! So I share your joy there

They're not worth any where near that in RHD unfortuinately, he wont get 11k. A friend of mine had an absolute peach of an example, resprayed, big brakes, coilovers etc and he struggled to get €8k. everntually a guy from Belgium bought it.

If it's not in good condition, it'll be worth about 1500 more than a standard one, tops.

The LHD one had bigger cams, different ECU and a few other bits and seems to command about 15k in germany still.

That's incorrect.
The american S52 had ASC+T.
Also, the Euro S50B32 with the SMG gearbox had indeed ASC+T.

great thread

can I ask two questions

1. How does the Gt splitter (the one not on your car yet) with the 4 posts that connect up to the M3 bumper, fix to the car?

2. HOw can I get hold of a GT splitter and rear high spoiler??

Thanks mate

It fixes to the bumper iron

The front spoiler is still available from the dealer for about £280 IIRC but the brackets are stupidly expensive.

The rear spoiler is NLA but you can pick up replicas and sometimes genuine ones from time to time. Not to be confused with the one fitted to the evo individual imola red as that has a brake light built in

As said already with the addition of: the front bumper mount is a different one to that of a normal e36 with the addition of the location mounts for the brackets. Rear spoilers are pretty rare although copys are available in the likes of ebay as im sure you know. I know where there are 3 of these GT's 2 x lhd 1 x rhd and certainly of 2 that would be for sale if money was waved in the right direction.

NJ hasn't got that car. It belongs to a fella over here in Northern Ireland and when he had it advertised a while back NJ contacted him to see would he be interested in a SOR.

As far as I know there have been no biters.
