My name is Sergio and I am Spanish ... For almost five years I am the happy owner of a Csl ... and two years ago I registered on this forum, but because of my poor English never dared until now to post ... but I learned a lot during this time ...
* My question is I'm looking to put a brake kit and have seen it on the website of Thorney Motorsport longer sell Csl Cup kit .. it is no longer possible to buy this kit?

thanks

Ditto, keep with AP or Brembi and you won't have any issues with supply of aftermarket pads and spare parts

Welcome to the Forum Sergio, and good on you posting in a language other than your native. I know how you must feel, I'm trying to learn Portuguese right now for work and boy is it irritating at times.

AP kit, or Brembos and theN you have a vast amount of pads and disc setups you can go for. Good luck,

Barry

Hi Sergio and welcome to CSL-Land.
If you are going to use the car on track then as the other boys have said go for AP's, but you don't want the pads they come with, you need Pagid RS29's.
If however you are not going to track the car, I would suggest you stick with the OEM set up, and just change the pads again to RS 29's and the Brake Fluid to something like AP660.
That set up, using the RS29's Pads and performance fluid should be good for fast road use and the occasional trackday session.

Hi Sergio :)

If you're going to big brakes just stick to AP. There is a good reason why so many on here choose the AP.

Thank you very much to all for the welcome ... The reason I'm thinking about riding the brakes is that this summer I am going to Ring rolling with my CSL, it is the third year that I do, but it will be the first with the CSL ... In Spain usually do 3-4 trackdays a year but for that I have a race M3e30 ...
You think that it is enough for a RS29 and a good fluid?

A greeting

The kit at Munich Legends seems quite good value, as it swaps the Ferodo pads out for Pagids :

2 * AP Racing branded Black 6-pot callipers
2 * Grooved 356mm brake discs
2 * bottles of AP Racing dot 5.1 brake fluid
Front AND Rear Goodridge braided brake hoses
1 * Set of Pagid Yellow Front Brake Pads (E8018 R29)
1 * Set of Pagid Yellow Rear Brake Pads (E2685 290

I'm assuming with no rear calipers the braking balance is still ok (braided lines and pads for rear only)

Hello and welcome !

Don't put the APs, they just work and it is boring to have top brakes, cheaper than the competition, very good aftersales service etc etc
Go for something more adventurous, like alcon csl crap kit etc.
You won't be bored again !

Just kidding :)

Anybody knows Ferodo DSP pads and if they are good pads for CSL ?

What pads are best for the CSL Alcon KIT for road and track race using 50% ?

The rs 29's squeal badly with oem calipers, is this correct anyone with this experience?

This was my very question at the other thread last week.

Yesterday I installed the Pagid RS29 front and rear on my OEM calipers, largely applied Cera Tec Anti Squeal Lubricant, SS Brake Lines and Castrol SRF brake fluid.

And after the initial bedding in procedure, at the moment there is no noise. Knock on wood :) Although it's only been 150kms with them. I will update here if the noise starts later on. But as I understand this Cera Tec stuff and proper bedding in is crucial in noise issue.

BTW, Stopping power and pedal feel has MUCHLY improved. Sort of like a midway from stock setup and BBK.
