Hi.

I should be viewing a Csl in the next few days.

2004
Silver grey
27k
2 owners

Sounds great but apparently there is no 1200mile stamp??
The owner says it has been done, so I will be checking this out with BMW to be sure it has.

If it hasn't what sort of price do you guys/girls think is fair?

Any help would be appreciated.

Rather than speculating, wouldn't it be better to just confirm if it has or not?

If you get the chassis number, I have a mate who works at BMW who could check and confirm.

rob,
as mike r says the running in service is the key to taking this sale beyond a phone call to bmw. i would be concerned that a 2004 car has not had this running in service stamp/proof of service resolved up to now.
if there's any question of it not having the service....walk away...unless you're not bothered about a bmw warranty(assuming this is a private sale) and the sale price is considerably lower than a similar car with 100% BMW SH......i think i can speak for the majority of fellow members that the running in service is a must if your potential purchase is priced in the high twenties/early thirties K sterling.

If the running in service checks out and its had 2 yearly servicing, since then I would expect it to be high 20's (if you are lucky)

As you probably know, these cars are few and far between, esp at that sought if mileage.

Good luck with the viewing.

high 20's for a 27k mile car?

Point Taken Barry

The Alex Anton one is very low 30K miles for £32k and that's a dealer...

I did say that it was high 20's if he is lucky.

Prices do seem to be going up and up though...a good thing for us owners on here.

I concur, as i have just bought one........a 27k mile car, if in good condition, assuming service history is correct......i place a low to mid 30's k.:119:

Thanks for all the replies.

So if the car has missed the 1200 mile service how much do you guys think is a reasonable price?
