Anyone know what this system decibel tests at 6k revs?

Supersprint Cats - Supersprint centre pipe non res and OEM back box?

Going to swap over at weekend as wouldn't mind doing a TD at Bedford before Munich.

The intake is louder than the exhaust, so you have to short-shift around the noise meter by the pits (as per a standard car).

If you speak to them first and tell them you are concerned, they will usually advise you when you're getting close to tripping the meters.

My Escort has issues at high boost, so I have to do the same - if you pre-warn them, they're pretty good - I've got away with 3 black flags in a day in the past :). If you say nothing, they will just bin you off the track :(.

You know Nath R don't you mike? He got black flagged and kicked off at Bedford by 11 when I was there in march. We had all been told in the briefing that they would show the noise board if you were getting close.....

They didn't - Nath said "was I getting noisier"- they said "yep", Nath said "why didn't you show me the board...." They just said "so sorry, you were over the limit, we can't do anything about it you are off...."

Yes, I'm mates with Nath - apparently it was the jobsworth left in charge on that day, he's since spoken to the usual guy who was mortified about the way he got treated (to the extent he has offered a big discount on his next day).

I think it helps if you're regulars, as they know the car and do their best to work with you :).

Last time I went I thought I was going to get a "talking to" (scroll to 17:50 if you can't be bothered to watch it all), but it ended up being just to confirm the power :):

SteveB was there that day - satndard, standard, and agency power??? back box? he had to let off/short shift.... it is the induction noise mainly that's the problem....

ive never been blacked at Bedford even with full SS cat back (res)

i think yours is particilularly loud due to your SS back box which seems to be crammed full of cheese.

let me know which day and ill come along

prob doing Donny on mOnday

Im taking back box off at weekend if I get a chance so will be running
SS Cats - SS non res and OEM back box so that must surely pass.

Ill keep you in the loop, either Bedford or Snett.

I run SS manifold, standard OEM cats, SS non-resonated centre and SS Race Lightweight back box.

Generally hits 100dB on tests and sounds :smt055
