I know it's a question that gets asked reasonably regularly, so thought i'd share my experience & see what others think;

Two quotes, one for keeping Cecil on the Road in London (SW11) and one for keeping him in a garage at my parents in Dorset.

29 years old, 8 years no claims. No points, claims etc etc. Upto 5,000 miles.

Currently insured with Admiral on a multicar policy (with a 335d) for £1,500 per year. Similar price to renew.

REIS
London - won't quote
Dorset - £530. £500 excess.
Doesn't cover any trackdays. They have a sportscar policy which includes some trackdays, but this isn't available for the CSL as it has 4 seats

CCI
Won't quote. Aviva who are their underwriters won't insure anyone under 35(!) on an M3

Pace Ward
London - £1,011 - Excess of £650
Dorset - £569 - Excess of £450
Through Chaucer. UK trackday cover is £85.60 per day, European £98.30 per day (Ring is more)

Nowell & Richards
London - £1,900
Dorset - £1,300
Both with a £500 excess.

Classic Line
£966.73
Will only quote based on the London address, even if the car is garaged in Dorset.

Try these, TD are £75 per one but they quoted me £450, 32 years young

As CCI wont insure me either now.

Quite some difference in pricing being located in London.
I have been with REIS for 2 years but went up £102 this renewal, they dont price match or discount.
Best price was with Pace Ward who were able to beat REIS's renewal by £130 and offer TD cover for around £80/ TD.

hmm, so mine in london sw19 through http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk is like £850 with 3 years no claims and parked on the street (its actually parked in a lockup but not told them). when i was 26 i was paying £1600 for my csl through admiral, but now a few years on, admiral wouldnt even quote me because its too modified, stupid generic motoring insurance companies, they should all go f88k their hands.

anyways fully modified through skyinsurance, :)
