So who's rocking over 100k?
Mine rolled over a few months back and apart from not having the smoothest of changes (since the day I bought it at @81k) I've had no problems and all touch wood seems well.
Just thought I'd pull together a thread as it will be interesting to monitor reliability.

This makes me feel very guilty. Mines only on 49k and havent driven her for 6 months (or seen her) Planning to sort this with a trip to the IOM early June.

Good for you, nice to see the older ones wearing the 100k+ badge with pride!
p.s When have changes EVER been smooth in a CSL? :-D

Sir, you need to start putting some miles on that thing! Are you coming to Munich?

Perhaps you're right but I've only ever driven one other - it was not much different - a bit less slack in the output shaft I think. I'm hoping a few tweaks like decent oil will improve matter and saw some thread about clutch actuators and release bearing sleeves that might improve things too... Would love to have a go in a really low miler to see what they could be like at their very best.
My last E36 M3 Evo had over 160k miles on it - was still going strong when I sold it - dyno around that mileage still showed bang on 316bhp averaged over 5 runs. (for all the dyno haters, I'm not willy waving or saying the engine really had exactly 316bhp - just that if a dyno shows the factory figure after 160k miles, you don't have a problem)
Have yet to dyno the CSL.

Shame! but, I guess it'll still be there when you're back, and it's only going up in value :)

Shimmy's master plan is to pull out of the May trip at the last minute, and get the value of his car increased by 2000 miles relative to the rest of us :bigcry:

Congrats  Good to know they don't self distract @ exactly 100 000 miles, like some would have us believe  :hahaha:
100K miles is still average mileage for a 10 year old car. Mines some 13 000 miles away from that magic number :smokin:

34.9 mpg - you can't have been going fast enough to have clocked up any real mileage since 2003 ;-)

Bought mine Oct 2012 with 77k, now at 86k. So I should go over 100k in 9 months time. Used every day and love every second.
I want to keep her for at least 5 years so I should get her up to 170k...residual value will be hit but my smile 'o' meter will be fully topped up!

I would not worry how many miles a CSL has on it , I bet if you break that car in 5 years time with 170000 + on it you would still get your money back in bits , the parts will be rare in 5 years time as they are now but will command more money

It's gonna take me a while at the current rate of use but I've never been worried about mileage. Mine gets everything it needs and more. Doesn't feel any different to the day I had it @27k miles.
Had a lovely drive in her over the Black Mountains Easter weekend. First drive for 4 months! Sad really but does make every drive an occasion. I forget how good a nailed down car feels.:smt055 Makes my M135i feel like a jelly!:smokin:

Well that's the advantage of being upside down - tyres last a lot longer and high mpg!
I wouldn't recommend it for the CSL though - not now the roofs are in short supply :)

Nice :)
Seems there's not too many that have already rolled over.
I had about 25k to spend on a motor - looked at 335i and E92 M3 but ended up thinking that the arse is gonna totally fall out out of them price wise after a few years so why not make the same initially outlay on a high-mile CSL, drive it as a daily, and even with intergalatic mileage it'll still be worth more than either of the other two. Plus I get to drive everyday in one of the best cars ever made, by anybody.

Just joined the 100k club and my sentiments exactly, 111k for me and I can now use this one without fear! Worst case, it will be worth quite a bit in parts in a few years time :blalalala:

The way I see it, everybody sub-100k should pay us a commission for keeping their car values higher.

Yes mines already been there . It's just rolled over to 108k. I've only owned since December 12 but other than a seatbelt tensioner and a Pre cat lambna sensor. It's been fine.
A week after I purchased and after a Indy inspection (clean bill of health) I decided to jack the car up and check for myself. Low and behold offside front crack and nearside rear subframe chassis cracks that I discovered.
Cut a long story short BMW Knights did the subframe repair free under warranty but had the car for 5 weeks. I hand the 6 bushes replaced and now the car feels a lot better.
So the 100k club still can be very rewarding indeed.
Condition and service history is more important than milage

this does scare me. unfortunately I'm without warranty and although the subframe looks good from the boot I've not had the subframe lowered for a proper inspection yet. Otherwise, my experience is the same.. Needed diff seals for the German MOT but apart from that all good - don't around 20k in just over a year lol. I reckon I can get 200k out of this bad boy (work pays fuel :p)

Yeah please do. I asked bmw to do the resin but they refused as the fix was dated only for pre-2002 cars or something like that... and it's pretty much impossible to reason with germans and finding independents seems just as impossible. I'm hoping to get something sorted when I move to munich - Frankfurt BMW haven't impressed me particularly.

It's a lot easier to reason with them, when you know what your rights are, pm sent. They're probably giving you the run around (Bl__dy Foreigner) :banghead:
They have to undertake the fix at a much reduced rate, it's labourious and time consuming so there's no money in it for them.
That explains the reluctance with most dealerships, not just those in Germany.

Now at 111,000 miles, just had oil service at Munich, no issues, 36,000 in my ownership, still used daily, all weathers, still makes me smile EVERYTIME I drive her and I still look back at her when I get out after a drive.
The best car that I've had, my plan is to have the highest mileage CSL out there... these things need to be enjoyed as often as possible.

You've got a some way to go to achieve that. 111K miles is average mileage for an 11 year old motor these days ;) but I do salute your sentiment & aspirations of having intergalactic mileage Cecil

I've done 36k in 2 years, another 2 years and I'll be at 147k. I got my 944 Turbo up to 216k and my 911C2 to 166k.
111k is average at the moment but it will average 18-20k per year now.
I bought at 76k, if I had from new I'd be at 180,000.
