Just thought I would post to see how it all going so far. I arrived an hour or so ago and will be on track tomorrow fingers crossed. I have spotted three CSLs here (one foreign plate). I heard that track was not opened until later in the day due to snow.

There seem to be very few cars on track today and someone said that many have not bothered turning up due to the weather. Snow seems to be coming down again lightly this afternoon.

Here is hoping tomorrow brightens up otherwise it will be purely orientation laps if that.

Anyone have a jack with them. I have some RS29s with me and all the tools but no jack. La Source has provided free underground parking so I will try and scrounge a jack from one of the residents :clown:

If you see Teffers or Chris of CD, they will let you borrow a jack.

Good luck and be safe. :smokin: it must be cold, it's freezing here and just about snowing again.

My brother is there at the moment (Black Exige S 240), there was enough snow this morning that it was thought the track would be closed the whole day.

There were a few RSs and CSLs sliding about this morning near the track, my brother and his mates had to push a CSL this morning near their hotel as it was struggling a bit.

Be safe.

Poorly as in reliabilty issues, or poorly as in crash.

We decided to sack it off and headed down to the Ring around lunchtime. Not sure what running took place but it would have been interesting!

Only activity in the morning was the marshall's truck towing someone up Eau Rouge on a sledge...

It was snowing hard at the Ring yesterday as well, but looks like a pretty good day today. Still about -1 though...

We aborted to the Pistenklause... Today looked good though. Did a touristfahrten lap in the diesel shooting brake (E91 335d touring). Not quite as planted or quick as the CSL, but pretty amusing 3 up.

I was there on the 1st, -8, very icey and slippery until lunch then the sun came out and got to 6 degrees. What an awesome track! 3rd gear synchro went at 4 as I was just starting to get the hang of some corners and grow balls through others. Can't wait to go back

I was also there on the 1st, and after a dicey cold start, the rest of the day was ace. I was in a white e36 m3 track slag called Rodney. Saw the blue Noble out on track, going well. Was also at the Ring today. Dodgy weather this morning (very slippy) but got some good laps this afternoon. Wished I had brought the CSL instead of Rodney. :moan:

Speaking of CSLs, anyone on here in the black CSL doing some 'controlled' drifting on the GP circuit today, about 2 cars in front of me? May even be the same person doing doughnuts in a CSL in the car park at the end of the day? :119:

Saw that guy, but not sure who it was?

There was a load of guys there from Driftworks, including someone with a V10 engined E46... The CSL may have been with them?

I think I remember seeing your car. I was in a red E46 M3

And the knob doing them in a black M3 on Wednesday in the car park.

The V10 engined CSL was towed off due to a drive shaft going. I meant to take a picture of the CSL with the 'Azure Blue' - ? wrap. My wife liked it but it was not really my thing. There were also a couple off looky likey CSLs.

Only one vehicle kaput on the Nordschleife on the track day, a red Ferrari. French plate I think.

No more questions, your honour.

Shame there were not more CSLs, but the weather was tricky, admittedly. The other vehicle that had a mishap on Wednesday was the Fiat Arbarth driven by Keith from The Prodigy, who rear-ended it. I saw him checking his tyres earlier. If only I had the foresight to shout "release the pressure"...

I was there at Spa and the ring with the black CSL with Spires down the side. Unfortunately the gearbox started playing up putting it on the trailer in the UK and after 30 mins running at Spa the SMG pump went and it's been sat in neutral ever since. Was a fun 30 mins though, car never went straight at any point, think I did the whole of Pouon with the steering wheel straight...

Still a good trip. Had a few cars running that we're developing, you might have seen the silver E46 M3 with dark wheels, that's running our new development of Nitron R3s and is proper quick considering engine is standard.

Also working on Phil Morrison's V10 M3 with a new set-up and adjusting his rear droop travel and whipping the rear ARB off to improve traction (he had a monster H&R on there).

Also Dale got to run his Bridge to Gantry 328i for the first time at the ring running our Nitron R1 spec. Bit of rear aero needed to fix some oversteer and reposition the front travel for more droop up otherwise fast out the box.

And did a number of set-ups for people over the four days ranging from a new GT3 to Keith Flint's Fiat 500. Every customer came back to say how much better their cars were.

Lastly, some videos.

Yes, I remember seeing the black Spires CSL at Spa and assumed it must have been a garage queen as it never seemed to move. Sorry to hear about the SMG pump. I only turned up for the 1st and so was very lucky with the weather.

The GP day at Nurburg was good weather too although a shortened GP track is a little tiresome or is it just me -? It was just a shame that the 3rd was a little poor on the weather front. At least it was relatively dry.
