I've just had the rear floorpan replaced by BMW & while the axle was off I had new OEM RTAB's & a turner limiter kit fitted, along with all new axle carrier bushes.

In the KDS print, the rear camber is out - it should be 1,5 & is actually measuring 1.18 & 1.33. Dealer says its due to the limiter kit & there is now not enough adjustment available.
Does this sound correct?

Also the front 20degree castor is out - the target spec is 7.48, mine is actually 6.58 & 7.03.

The car feels floaty at the front & not at all connected to the back.

Any advice welcome.

After the floorpan was replaced on mine the car felt unstable in left hand bends.

Had a few bits done at Simpson, asked them to have a look. Some of the cavity foam had leaked and dried under the right hand subframe bush, causing the rear geometry to change under load.

That doesn't sound very clever to me. Who did the boot floor repairs on yours Barry ?

Not Elms, a dealer local to me.

Barry,
is all well with your handling now?
removing excess foam cured the geo issue?

Have you taken it back to them for a second look ?

All good once foam was removed and rear geo reset.

That's interesting, i'll get them to check.

I can't understand how the front castor is so far out.
There is also a clunk/rattle from the rear now, so i'm guessing that something has come loose or was not torqued up properly.

.

I can't understand how the toe limiter is affecting the camber arm???

plenty of people use turner limiter kits with no problems as far as I have heard.

I suspect something has not been installed properly tbh... fingers crossed it hasn't

I had a similar problem when having my geo setup.... On the machine it said car had to have a full tank of fuel, weight in drivers and passenger seat plus weight in the boot (I can't remember the weights exactly but was something like 15kgs in each seat and 20kgs in boot). My car had sod all fuel in it at the time and once I'd filled up and weighted everything up as per instructions all was ok.

I think mine was the same Steve, no fuel.

The dealer is going to redo the KDS with a full tank etc. Hopefully they will be able to sort the castor as well.
